| OFFICIAL RULES | NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The Saks Salon Z $1,000 Shopping Spree Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (ET) on 4/11/06 and ends at 11:59 PM (ET) on 6/12/06 ("Sweepstakes Entry Period"). Sweepstakes is opened to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 and older at time of entry. Sponsor: Saks Fifth Avenue, 12 East 49th Street, New York, NY 10017. Employees of Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families or persons living in the same households of each are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Sweepstakes governed by U.S. law. To enter, visit www.saks.com/salonzsweeps and follow all instructions to complete and submit the online entry form. Entries are limited to one entry per person/e-mail address/household/per day with the exception of the "Pass-It-On" entry option which allows up to 5 additional entries for the duration of the Sweepstakes. You will have the opportunity to enter the names and e-mail addresses of up to five (5) of your friends/relatives who are 18 years of age or older as of 4/10/06, by clicking on the "Pass-It-On" link from an e-mail or website. For each friend's/relative's name and e-mail address you provide and who registers for the Sweepstakes during the Sweepstakes Entry Period, you will receive one (1) additional entry into the Sweepstakes random drawing (up to a maximum of five (5) additional entries). All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (ET) on 6/12/06 to be eligible for inclusion into the Sweepstakes' drawing. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Online entrants subject to all notices posted at www.saks.com, including but not limited to privacy policy. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for entries that are illegible, incomplete, lost, stolen, late, misdirected, damaged or garbled. One (1) Grand Prize: $1,000 Shopping Spree to Salon Z (Approximate Retail Value: $1,000.00). Prize will be awarded as a Saks Fifth Avenue Gift Card ("Gift Card") and is guaranteed to be awarded. This Gift Card is for promotional purposes only without money or other value given in exchange. It is non-transferable and not a coupon for discounts or markdowns. The Gift Card is redeemable for Saks Fifth Avenue stores, saks.com and telephone purchases only. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed as payment for purchases at Off5th stores, the purchase of gift cards or as an adjustment to prior purchases. The Gift Card may not be returned, redeemed for cash or used as payment on or credit to Saks Fifth Avenue credit card accounts. No credit or cash given for unused portion. Purchases made with Gift Card are not eligible for Saks gift card promotions or SaksFirst points. Merchandise Credit, LLC issues the Gift Card, which will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Selection of clothing and sizes are based on availability at time prize is awarded. Prize is not redeemable for cash, non-assignable or transferable. Odds of winning depend on total number of eligible entries received. Potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Random drawing conducted on or about 6/26/06 by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final. Potential winner will be notified via e-mail to obtain his/her mailing address. Three attempts will be made to contact the potential winner within a 14 day period. If the potential winner fails to respond within the 14 day period, or if the e-mail attempt is consistently returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. (Entrants are responsible for notifying Sponsor of changes in e-mail addresses.) When the potential winner's mailing address has been obtained, he/she will be notified via Federal Express delivery. Potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and a Publicity Release ("Affidavit/Release") which must be notarized and returned within 14 days of date printed on notification or an alternate winner will be selected. If a winner is otherwise eligible under these Official Rules, but is nevertheless deemed a minor in his or her state of primary residence, the prize will be awarded in the name of winner's parent or legal guardian who will be required to execute and return Affidavit/Release on minor's behalf. If prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable or if prize is forfeited, it will result in disqualification, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing. All taxes, including but not limited to sales and income tax on prize, are winner's responsibility. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner's name, prize won, hometown and likeness for advertising and publicity including online posting without additional compensation. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw the online method of entry if it becomes technically corrupted, (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and to select the winner from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal.
